Fuel Economy
With so many powertrain configurations available, EPA ratings for the 2021 Dodge Challenger can’t help but vary. The line’s base engine, the 3.6-liter V6, is also its thriftiest, however, helping the Challenger earn up to 23 mpg combined (19 city/30 highway mpg).
As you might expect, the SRT models, with their bigger, more powerful engines, aren’t as thrifty. On the other end of the spectrum, the 6.2-liter V8 powered SRT Widebody with the automatic transmission is the line’s least thrifty performer. It is EPA-rated to earn 15 mpg combined (13/21 mpg).

What Comes Next for the Dodge Challenger?
The 2021 Challenger is part of the line’s third generation, introduced for the 2008 model year. Although it’s due for a redesign in the near future, we’re not sure exactly when that will be. We’ve heard rumors about a new model for 2023 or 2024, but Dodge has yet to announce any solid plans.
