After skipping a model year, the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander is back, and it’s completely redesigned. This new compact crossover is now roomier, with greater passenger and cargo space for your travels. Exterior Features

The 2022 Outlander has muscular new styling to match its boosted performance. Power and Performance

The 2022 Outlander is ready for action. A brand new 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine gets you off to a strong start with 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque. Torque kicks in in the low to mid-range rpm range, so you can count on a sporty ride around life’s twists and turns. Compared to the Outlander’s previous engine, this one is stronger and more efficient.

The engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that sends power to the front wheels. This CVT mimics a traditional automatic transmission, which supplies a smooth ride and throws in an eight-speed sport mode for good measure.

If you’re in need of extra trail action, add all-wheel drive to your Outlander. The all-wheel-drive system even comes with an extra drive mode to help you master the mud.
