Power and Performance
Both Elantra Hybrid trim models feature the same hybrid powertrain, a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine paired with a battery-powered motor. Together, engine and motor create a total output of 139 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque.
When you put the six-speed EcoShift dual-clutch automatic transmission to work, you’ll appreciate its responsive performance and how it feels smooth over bumps and secure around corners.
This 2021 Elantra Hybrid also has a few efficiency-boosting tricks up its sleeve. The regenerative braking system recycles excess braking energy, recharging the battery as you drive and when you’re cruising at lower speeds, the Elantra Hybrid utilizes more electric power to help you conserve gasoline.
