Interior Luxury

As luxury interiors go, the 2021 G80 is the total package. Its materials are upscale, noise insulation keeps the wind from intruding on your conversations, and the supple suspension underscores everyone’s ride comfort. The G80 cabin is also a feast for the eyes, with optional matte finish interior wood trim, leather seating, and microfiber suede headliner.

Seating comfort is especially notable: plush and supportive, every seat supplies generous space for your head and legs. Up front, seat heaters are standard, but rear-seat heaters are also an option to keep everyone a little cozier. On the flip side, you can add front-seat ventilation to cool off your summer cruises. The optional Ergo motion driver’s seat also optimizes comfort, adjusting its seven interior air cells according to driving mode and cruising speed.

Safety, Security, and Technology

Safety is a major G80 priority. All trim models come standard with cutting-edge driver aids, technology that gives you an advantage when it comes to avoiding danger. For instance, the adaptive cruise control system features stop-and-go technology, putting a more relaxing spin on rush-hour situations. Besides identifying a potential collision, the Forward Collision Warning System helps you spot pedestrians and even automatically applies the brakes to mitigate damages.

Besides the usual suspects, the upscale G80 sedan also offers some innovative safety options. In addition to the standard Blind-Spot Radar System, which alerts you to a vehicle you can’t see, the Blind-Spot View monitor actually shows you what you can’t see. Power and Performance

For 2021, the Genesis G80 rolls out two new powertrain options, a standard turbocharged four-cylinder and an optional turbo V6. Both are big on horsepower and quick to respond to driver input, sending the G80 into quick-moving traffic with speed and precision. In addition to a quick ride, the new powertrain options contribute to the G80’s smooth, refined performance. Also, every G80 comes with rear-wheel drive, a feature that adds an element of athleticism to your daily drive. For an even sportier performance, add optional all-wheel drive.

Fuel Economy

EPA ratings fluctuate according to which engine you select, but also according to whether you add all-wheel drive to the G80 powertrain. Any way you look at it, though, this Genesis luxury sedan blends seamless power with efficiency.

2021 Genesis G80 Trim Models

There are four trim models, the 2.5 RWD, 2.5 AWD, 3.5 RWD, and 3.5 AWD. Each is nicely equipped with modern luxury features, starting you off with goodies like LED headlights and Intelligent Cruise Control technology. Options, such as leather upholstery and a panoramic sunroof, will take your G80 to new levels of luxury.

The AWD models add to the respective RWD trim model with all-wheel drive, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. All-wheel drive enhances traction, making your daily drive as sporty as possible but also increasing safety on wet or icy pavement.

G80 2.5 RWD

The entry-level G80 is handsomely equipped, especially when it comes to tech and safety features. Items like Lane-Keeping Assist and the Driver Attention Monitor help you avoid a potentially dangerous situation. This sedan is also pretty luxurious, with heated front seats and flashy 18-inch alloy wheels.
