Power and Performance
The standard Chrysler 300 engine, a 292-horsepower V6, is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that powers the rear wheels. The Touring and Touring L models offer optional all-wheel drive, a feature that increases traction over icy pavement and around sharp curves.
An optional V8 engine is available for the top-trim 300 S model, boosting speed with 363 horses. All-wheel drive isn’t available for the S models, however.
No matter which powertrain speaks to you, you can expect a healthy dose of speed and on-road refinement from your 300. This full-size sedan was specially designed for comfy cruising, with a suspension that smooths out the bumps in the road. And its eight-speed automatic transmission is quick to react, giving you an extra burst of speed whenever you wish. Some models even include paddle shifters so you can downshift on demand.
