The Encore GX is available with two engine options. The turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine comes standard on all three trim models, sending power to the front wheels. Or shoppers can also choose the optional turbocharged 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine, which is available for every trim model and offers a speedier ride. The 1.3-liter engine comes standard when you outfit your Encore GX with all-wheel drive.

Unfortunately, the Buick Encore GX is not recommended for towing.

Fuel Economy

Both of the Encore GX’s turbocharged engine options put an emphasis on efficiency. EPA ratings vary according to which engine you choose. The extra weight of the all-wheel-drive system reduces fuel economy, but only slightly.

What Comes Next for the Buick Encore GX?
